BH Live: Looking back on recent events

As we wave goodbye to spring and start looking forward to the upcoming, hopefully warmer and drier, months, it’s great to look back over some of the events we have recently hosted.

Most recently it was a privilege for us to play a small part in the city’s D-Day 75 commemorations. One of the events was a remembrance re-enactment walk where thirty soldiers came together at Mountbatten Leisure Centre to march throughout the city raising awareness and retracing the same footsteps who took the journey 75 years ago.

During May we hosted a wide range of events including live music, corporate meetings and functions. Sleaford Mods took to the stage at Pyramids and Mountbatten Leisure Centre saw the return of Robot Wars for the first show of their 2019 tour and the great news is that they’ll be returning next year too.

We also welcomed local business, Town Planning Expert, who hosted their inaugural Property Expert Networking event with us. We welcomed more than 50 attendees and the next event at Pyramids has already been secured.

Of course planning for events happens months before and our events team has been working on a new summer event for Southsea; Sunday Vibes on the Terrace at Pyramids; serving up good food, drink and music from 30 June until to 11 August. We can’t wait to get the flip flops out and hope this will become a regular summer attraction.

If you have any questions about any of these events or would like to see if we could host yours, get in touch with us at Events.Portsmouth@bhlive.org.uk.
